In a world where the most important thing for a young woman is to snare a rich husband, wealthy Matilda Prentiss (Alice Brady) is willing to back a Broadway musical to catapult her beautiful daughter, Ann (Stewart--Titanic), to stardom so she can take her pick of wealthy financiers.
